Castaway is a charming narrowboat. Built circa 1970 she has a wonderful sounding Bukh 1 cylinder engine which really lifts the heart as you hear her pop pop popping along.
Around 32ft long with 4 berths there is a lot of value in this entry priced boat. The boat has two gas cylinder lockers and the gas runs the hot water boiler as well as the cooker.
Narrowboat Castaway Guide:
From the Cruiser stern deck, with lots of room to steer down the canal whilst in the company of your crew, you enter the centre doors and descend to a small lounge with benches either side of the central corridor. These convert into a double bed of an evening and have storage underneath.
Along the corridor there is a shower room to port and a toilet to starboard. A little way on along the port wall there is a well equipped small galley kitchen with hob, grill, fridge and sink with hot and cold water as well as cupboards all just in front of a large coach window.
Through to the front of the boat there is a multi fuel stove and pullman dinnette table and chairs which also converts to another double bed.
On the bow deck there is a gas locker and water filling point.
A lovely boat to spend time afloat on the canals with. Currently moored at Marple Marina – Viewing by prior appointment only with Middlewich Wharf.
