The Dry Dock

The dry dock at Middlewich is a grade II listed building and integral to the surrounding canal system.

Benefitting from a covered building atop the dry dock, enables blacking and boat painting to be conducted regardless of the outside prevailing weather conditions, unlike being craned out or pulled out on a slipway where rain can stop work for days at a time.

The dock is fully equipped for hull blacking, boat surveys, stern gear repairs, fitting anodes, boat painting and much more.

Parking is available next door to the dry dock on hard standing.  Whilst we are able to offer DIY dry docking as well as our services to carry out work on your boat, it is important that DIY dockers take out their own insurance and follow our safety briefing.

Should you be staying on your boat during the process then, it is strictly under the condition that no generators or engines are used and neither are multi fuel stoves.
