2 berths | 1 bathroom | 58ft long | Isuzu 4 cylinder engine (42bhp) |

Description

Ithaca was built in 2010 by GT Boat Builders and was constructed with a 10mm base plate, 6mm hull sides and 5mm tops.

This boat has served her current owners faithfully as a liveaboard for the past few years and is fully kitted out to strike out cruising on the canals for extended periods, whilst ensuring you enjoy all the usual creature comforts and modern conveniences that you would expect from a modern narrowboat.

Power is supplied via an Isuzu 42, 4 cylinder diesel engine with twin alternators, 680 Watts of solar panels split into two independent banks, domestic lithium LiFePo4 domestic battery bank & a Victron 3000va Multiplus Inverter Charger.

Heating is via a robust Webasto diesel heater with radiators located throughout the length of the boat and a Morso Squirrel multi fuel stove, so you will never be cold in the winter or chilly evenings.

The main living area has an open plan giving a spacious feeling with plenty of storage and comfortable armchairs for relaxing in of an evening whilst kicking back and watching your favourite boat programms on the 32″ TV.

In the galley there is an array of storage as well as a fridge / freezer, toploader washing machine, wine rack (essential!), cooker with 4 ring hob and seperate oven and grill.

To the bathroom you can find a stylish wash handbasin located within a vanity unit with storage beneath, Jabsco Macerator Toilet, Quadrant shower and large wall mounted mirror as well as a good sized radiator.

Domestic hot water is supplied from the Calorifier (hot water tank) which will heat water via either the Isuzu 42hp engine or Webasto central heating or a 240v immersion heater.

The boat also comes complete with a Victron Galvanic Isolator to protect the hull when connected to shore power via the 16amp hookup point.

In 2020 the hull was sandblasted and 2 pack epoxy blacked for additional long life hull anti corrosion protection. This was further applied in 2021 along with 6 fresh sacrificial anodes.

Prior to arriving at Middlewich Wharf on brokerage we cruised this boat from Bugsworth Basin on the Higher Peak Forrest Canal, a journey that took 4 days and throughout the period the boat performed flawlessly without any issues, a sign of a good solid and reliable vessel potentially for any future owner.

Ithaca all in all comes across as a well looked after and impeccably maintained craft for all intents and purposes and represents an excellent liveaboard choice for a potential purchaser or an ideal boat for extended leisure cruising.
